The Challenge

To comply with the ambitious carbon emission reduction goals, the Municipality of Amsterdam started development on a carbon emission tracking tool for their construction projects. The municipality approached YUE to improve the tool to become more complete, more accurate, and more user-friendly.

YUE’s Approach

We expanded the emission tool by integrating reliable CO₂ data for construction materials such as concrete and asphalt. Through stakeholder interviews, we identified user needs and translated them into functional improvements. We delivered an updated and streamlined carbon emission tool database that municipality employees can use to track carbon emissions from various material sectors in the construction industry.
